Every season, I keep my eye out for a few key pieces that can refresh my past year’s wardrobe. Since trends come and go, I tend to upgrade a few key pieces that start to wear out due to constant wear. I had to toss my beloved faux fur vest (RIP) because it was a knotty and matted mess, but I can’t stop thinking about a shearling version now. Also, a slight change in lip color can make the most tired wardrobe feel lively again; I have my eye on all things plum and mulberry for fall and winter. I’m also excited to tuck away my dark denim in exchange for something super washed out.
The vest and coat are my favorites!

I love that you add a few pieces to your wardrobe instead of putting everything away and just getting a whole new wardrobe! I really tried to minimize and simplify my closet this past year, and have really been focusing on pieces that can transition well from season to season. Your post definitely gives me a ton of ideas (:
