Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Staples + Investment Pieces
As I mentioned on my IG retail industry Q&A, I share the Nordstrom sale every year. It’s changed a lot since I’ve been covering the sale; in fact, it’s changed a lot since I started shopping the sale when I was 18! The sale definitely has more everyday staples, more private label, and less designer exclusives. There are also multiple tiers which makes it harder for me to shop (I am a lower tier on the Nordstrom cardholder scale).
None of these things I mention are bad, per se, it’s just different than what I’ve come to know about the Anniversary Sale. There are still great deals to be had and if something doesn’t sell out, you probably can snag it in about 8 weeks at 40% off (ha). Generally, my picks do seem to sell out because I go for less basics, but I have no idea how much depth is behind these items, so your guess is as good as mine. Happy shopping!

Spanx faux leather leggings ($64)
I’ll admit, I did not get the hype until I bought a pair. BUY A PAIR….ON SALE. (Spanx leggings inspo here.)
True & Co v-neck bralette ($31)
Seamless brass for life. The Calvin Klein one from Amazon converted me so I’m buying this one, too. (This one is a better price.)
Zella cozy wrap jacket ($58)
This looks real cozy for fall. Cute, too!
Avec less Filles plaid coat ($149)
Ok, this coat is a stunner. That’s what I’m talking about N-Sale!
Halogen ribbed midi dress ($38)
Love basics like these; a midi, ribbed dress has never done me wrong.
Allsaints funnel neck sweater ($169)
Allsaints is sort of the MVP of this sale; cashmere-blend and cute!
Paige straight leg ($149)
I’m leaning towards straight leg more and more. Gen Z got tot me.
Faherty stripe sweater ($109)
Ok, so I don’t own Faherty but before we went to Florida I bought a ton of it for Eric (they have a men’s line) and it’s well made and lovely! I didn’t know they made women’s and want to try it now.
Sam Edelman combat boots ($119)
These are COOL. Combat boots for life and a great price. Rad colors, too.
Blondo waterproof boots ($99)
Everyone raves about Blondo for slushy winters so I think I need to try and these are under $100!
Vince cotton half zip ($149)
Shoot, I need this. Been wanting a Princess Diana oversized polo zip.
Madewell funnel neck sweater ($64)
It’s been half a decade and I still can’t resist a funnel neck sweater.
Madewell stripe sweater ($49)
My fellow bloggers will be all over this one–because it’s cute and $50!
Hanky Panky retro briefs ($23)
Alright, if you buy anything get these because they’re stupid expensive at full price. I have the Aerie dupes and they just don’t hold up as well as HP…ugh.

Nanushka coat
What a gorgeous coat. I was so excited to see this brand as part of the sale–more of this, please! This brand’s sweater is great, too.
Allsaints leather jacket
They keep bringing this leather jacket back but it IS a good one; I’ve tried it on in person and $300 is a great deal for real leather–perfect fit, too!
LINE pullover sweater
I love a chunky knit and was excited to see a new LINE (get it?) as part of the sale.
Re/Done high-waist jeans
One of my favorite jean brands and I have this pair at home! (seen here)
Vince skirt
I can’t resist a Vince midi skirt. How beautiful is this color? It will be perfect with knee high boots and a chunky sweater. It’s in my cart!
Staud suede boots
Ok, I was honestly impressed to see these. I have this pair in black from last year and this is an awesome price. I kind of want the brown suede now.
Frank & Eileen popover henley
I’ve been wanting an oversized, distressed polo, and here it is. Reminds me of my Catholic all-girls school days.
Smythe blouse
Gorgeous blouses are for everyone and now that we’re all getting dressed again, we need multiple.

A great deal for an Equipment silk shirt dupe.
Spanx faux leather joggers
I’m a Spanx fan, through and through and have been eyeing these joggers since last winter so it’s a great time to get them on sale.
