Skip a Manicure (See Jane Preserve)
My expectation is that a manicure should last a week; of course, that’s not always the case (and also, that’s not to say I get one every week, because I definitely don’t!). Not only am I terrible at painting my own nails but I tend to wear through a manicure quicker than most. When a glittery polish caught my eye, I decided I could cover up my ragged manicure with some quick swipes to the tips of my nails where chips were present. As you can see from the pictures, the manicure was definitely grown out (see: jagged cuticles) but this did the trick in a pinch and ultimately saved me both time and money.

Quick math: If you currently get manicures every week and changed extended it to bi-weekly by adding some glitter to the chipped tips, you’d save about $390 per year* (assuming it’s $15/manicure, including tip)

Thats a great idea! I often do silver glitter on my tips buy never thought of doing it to make my manicure last longer!
i always add a coat of glitter to extend a mani atleast another 5 days, i'd never thought of just doing tips

What a great idea! I also find that my manicures chip within a couple days, and I feel like a no-chip might be inconvenient. When I don't have a manicure, my go-to is simply a clear polish. It looks nicer than nothing, it's hard to screw up, and it helps keep your nails from breaking.

I LOVE Butter London!!! I typically do my own manicures as well. However, I did go this weekend with my cousin over the weekend for some bonding time 🙂
I always do nails on my own but when I don't have time I just "retouch" missing spots with the same nail polish and then cover the whole thing with glittery one… and the manicure looks fresh.
