Yesterday was officially the first day of summer. I don’t know about you, but it had already been summer in my mind as soon as the temperatures hovered around 80 degrees. Sometimes I get anticipatory thoughts and think that July means that summer is basically over…not this year. The summer solstice has made me think optimistically and realize that we have many more months of sandals, sundresses, and SPF 45.

How ADORABLE are they!?! Ice cream, soap operas, hanging with my friends at the mall, and swimming. I miss summer vacations.

Okay Anna Jane??? I always feel like July is the end of summer too! What's up with that? I long for summer and then when it gets here i pout around b/c it's almost over. Working on stopping that.
Anyway – fave summer activity growing up would have been camping! we had great camping trips with the fam as kids. my dad insisted on "roughing it" in a camper in the middle of a bush somewhere. it was awesome. great lake fishing and the whole nine. sure do miss those days.
Swimming and then eating b/c I was always starving… or else showing sheep. It was way more fun than it sounds!
So cute! I loved riding my bike and hanging out at the pool!
