Chocolate Pecan Biscotti (See Jane Bake)
Did you know that biscotti means “twice-baked cake” in Italian? Neither did I until I was looking up recipes for it last week (recipe here). In fact, it came as a huge shock to me that I would need to bake something twice that I almost didn’t go through with it. I only bake on occasion and the fact that I’d have to do it twice in a row made me let out an exasperated sigh. However, the dough/batter/whatever was already made so I kept on keeping on. Fatal flaw: I never read the instructions before I start to cook/bake–I only look to see what ingredients are needed.

Why do I look at your food posts while eating breakfast?!?! I always become disenchanted with my food instantly bc yours looks so great 😉
Haha, I've never baked anything twice either. It would totally throw me for a loop. These look amazing though and well worth the extra bake time.
oh yummy! I have never even though to make biscotti although that would wreck havoc on my post tonsillectomy throat right now. And I ike the poo over floured one =)

Mmmm, this looks SO good. I also tend to skip over instructions when I first read a recipe — which generally leads to quite the disaster. On the bright side, it looks like it turned out well!
