The Amazing $45 Everlane Shorts + 5 Summer Favorites

These Everlane shorts are $45 and they are MAGIC.  The waist is elastic, which basically means they feel like pajamas, yet here they are looking chic with a cami and blazer.  These are the kind of shorts you can wear on a date and also to the park with your kids (and I have done both, actually).  They look good with shirts tucked in or let hanging loose and wash like a dream (on cold, hang dry!).  Yes, it’s also shorts weather, still–and it will be well into September so hold on to your shorts and don’t let go of summer; I’m not ready to see it go.

Also check out five Everlane favorites I’ve been loving this summer (photos below):

Lightweight Wide-Leg Crop – As you know by now, I LOVE the Everlane wide-leg crop.  They’re a very heavy and sturdy cotton, so they released a lightweight pair for spring and summer.  This are great and just a little more breathable.  Will I give up my beloved original wide-leg crops?  Never.  But it’s nice to have a lightweight, chino option on a hot, summer day (especially if you work at an office and commute in this heat!) . PS. I can’t wait to wear them during the fall with booties and loafers.

Air Silk CamiAnother piece that I’ve beaten to death on here BUT I’ve only ever had it in one color–the light, dusty pink.  I finally sprung for another color that I could wear now and during fall and am loving this military green.  These camis are so damn versatile and I find myself reaching for them all the time.  And I have other camis that I spent WAY more money on, yet these are just as gorgeous and have held up beautifully.

Japanese Go-Weave Cami – This cami isn’t silk, but it is a heavy crepe that hangs on the body really nicely.  The fabric has wrinkle hesitant properties making it a great choice for work (or for those who are scared of silk).  Yes, this pink is intense (but fun) so if you want a basic that you’ll wear to death, go for black.

Cotton Picnic Dress – This dress has been an easy one to throw on this summer.  It’s flattering, feminine, and perfect for just about any occasion. I personally love it without the belt, but you can’t go wrong if you decide to use it! I don’t have that defined of a waist naturally, so I love that this dress creates that illusion.

Poplin Wrap Top – Bonus info for my blog readers: I’ll be styling this top on IG stories today.  You all LOVED when I wore it during last week’s #shopyourclosetseries and received so many messages telling me how much you loved this so I thought I’d give it some love on stories this week!  Poplin is so chic–it’s crisp enough for work and cool enough to wear with jean shorts.
