November Audible Pick
I love recapping recent reads or listens on audiobooks as a way to share what I’m enjoying. I have a real penchant for Audible; it’s basically one of my top forms of self-care and I always have an Audible on the docket. I love how they organize top charts by category–I’m always discovering new audiobooks and they also have really cool exclusives, like short stories or podcasts. Speaking of, if you have kids or maybe want to reminisce on your youth, the Audible Original Are You Afraid of the Dark podcast is EXCELLENT–my kids and their carpools are obsessed!
The Wedding People – Ok, this came highly recommended from so many of YOU. Without giving TOO much away, it is truly one of the most unique plotlines I’ve come across lately. The topics are heavy but they way the author approaches everything is light. It’s a very easy listen, the narrator is excellent, and I really enjoyed the ride.
Demon Copperhead – Speaking of dark, this focuses on the opioid crisis in the early 2000s in western Virginia, which got hit the worst. It’s complex, deep, and incredibly heartbreaking. I listened to it over a year ago and still think about it (and it came highly recommended by so many people on instagram!)
None of This is True – This audiobook got me into Lisa Jewell, a British novelist, and this particular title is SO good on Audible. It has almost like a Netflix doc feel and I just couldn’t have loved it more. Definitely a fun thriller.
Ok, party people, what should I listen to next on Audible for December? And if you’ve never tried Audible, well, now is your chance. I’ve been a member for so many years, I can’t even remember at this point (7?). Eligible Amazon customers in the US can sign up for Audible Premium Plus at $0.99 for the first three months. Now’s the time to try it!
*Thank you to Audible for being a long-term partner!
