Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Roundup: Classic Must-Haves, Shoe Picks + Top Jackets
Well, everyone, the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 is upon us. I’ve been shopping this sale since high school (we didn’t have a Nordstrom in our town so I did it online…in 2003….I was such a pioneer.) . Nordstrom started the Anniversary Sale in the 1970s as a way to boost sales during the summer and to hook that ‘back to school shopping’ crowd – looks like it worked out for them. The sale keeps growing each and every year and as someone who used to be on the inside here, it’s a big deal for vendors to put out key styles and for Nordstrom employees who spend so much time and effort curating this sale. I personally love this sale and have purchased so many favorites that I STILL wear year after year. My hope is that I can help you sift through this sale (there’s a lot) and find you some great stuff. I’ll only post about this on the blog a few times (next to come: luxe and budget buys) so if you have any specific requests, let me know! (And scroll to the end of this post to enter my Nordstrom gift card giveaway!)
CLASSIC WARDROBE MUST-HAVES
Frame Le Slender Straight – My favorite brand of jeans, hands down. They do straight leg right.
ALC Debi SilkTop – I spent this much on a similar black cami last year and never regretted it because I wear it SO much.
J Crew Cameron Season-less Pant – A trim, navy trouser is the perfect addition to your business casual wardrobe.
Vince Cashmere Boxy Sweater – Classic, grey, slightly oversized perfection (and under $200).
Joie Angeni Dress – a subtle print in an updated silhouette; I LOVE short sleeve dresses because of their versatility. Imagine: wear now, later with tights and a leather jacket on top (or that sweater above on top!). Get yourself a dress that can do both.
Lewit Leather Moto Jacket – a well-constructed leather jacket can easily be over $1,000 – Nordstrom’s in house label gets it to you for under $500.
Helene Bergman Tweed Jacket – Every woman needs a textured, semistructured jacket in her wardrobe for work or business casual occasions.
TOP SHOE PICKS
Sam Edelman Caprice – A welcome departure from the OTK looks we’ve been seeing the past few years (I’d go with camel or black).
Steve Madden Reece – I wore my black, sock booties to death last year and these are an awesome price.
Franco Sarto loafers – These look so much more expensive than they are – wear to work or with jeans! (also in black)
Stuart Weitzman Lexie – SW AND a low heel? The best combo (I’ve been wearing my nudistsong and nearlynude for years)
Sole Society Mariol -Test the slingback trend with this budget version (and they’re gorgeous).
Via Spiga Madilyn – You won’t regret partaking in the white bootie trend.
BEST OF: JACKETS
Vince Plush Fleece – Faux fur coats aren’t going ANYWHERE. Also, this hood.
Soia & Kyo Fishtail Hem Parka – Part anorak, part military jacket, 100% awesome.
Kenneth Cole Camel Coat – Can’t beat a classic, wool, camel coat at this price.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby Vest/Park Combo – This jacket has built in layers and I love that the color is more unexpected for the silhouette.
Frame Plaid Blazer – who knew my favorite denim brand made such awesome jackets (I did, I have one). Bonus: look for less is this Trouve version
Avec Les Filles – this jacket gives me all the ACNE vibes and Zara made a dupe last year, too, that sold out in like minute. This is your chance to snag one

Please tell me OTK boots aren’t “out”??!! Granted I wear booties the most, but I love mixing up every height. All this anniversary sale stuff has me dreaming of fall….only style-wise…. I’m really not ready for summer to be done!
