I am an avid Mad Men viewer (highly recommended…get the DVDs and start from the beginning), so when Banana Republic contacted me to wear a piece from their Mad Men Fall ’11 Collection, I jumped at the chance. I feel a little Joan in this and if I had an up-do, then I’d definitely be channeling Betty (sorry Peggy). Clearly, I love the story lines of Mad Men, but the costumes draw me in as well; I’ve even found myself taking some dressing cues from the ladies. Since I work in a corporate environment, I love a good pencil skirt, à la Joan Holloway. This trench speaks (volumes) for itself, so I felt simple was the way to go. Black cigarette pants and plain, nude pumps–I think Betty would be proud, no?

i just started watching madmen because it came up on netflix live stream and i heard all about the fashion, and it took me two or three episodes to get into it but i'm so into it now… so dark, so satirical, so beautiful
I am obsessed with Mad Men after Chloe kept talking about it so one day I rented the seasons I had missed on Netflix and OMG, I fell in love. And now that they are showing past seasons at 6:00 AM on Sundays, I am getting up to watch.
