Everyone is loving the color-blocking trend this season–even this girl. I wore this outfit out one weekend night and while I like it, looking back I realize that it’s a bit jester-esque (seriously, google image “jester” and tell me if you don’t laugh). Regardless, I especially love these pants and have been wearing them nonstop–especially to work. They’re the perfect high-waist and they must be good because Eric looks at them with a bit of confusion (‘why are they up so high?’ he asks).
I’ll definitely be trying the color-blocking trend again–just perhaps with different pieces. How about you?

I really love color blocking too–especially with nude shoes (like you accessorized with!) So pretty!
I love those pants…and I LOVE even more that you know they are good bc your man looks at you funny!!! Mine does the same when i thrown something outta the box on! LOVES!!!!

I love your pants and you pull them off so well, but I'm wondering how you do it because I've tried on so many pairs and they all look terrible from the rear view! Is there some secret to keep from having mom butt or do you just have to embrace it?

I don't think you look jester-y at all!! I think you look adorable. I've been wanting to jump on board with color blocking, but I don't really have any solid bottoms in interesting colors. Everything is either printed or bland. I'm definitely on the lookout for some red pants though – if I manage to find them, you better believe there's going to be color blocking!!

I am 100% convinced that men do not, and will not understand the high-waisted thing. I think I have my husband trained one day, and the next he is looking confusedly at my bum. There should be nothing confusing about my bum! But I don't care because I think high-waisted pants look awesome.
