I also love that you can style it in a preppy way, a more minimalist-chic way, or even in an edgy way.
Four ways to style a chambray shirt in 2024
- Laid-back and casual: Layering your chambray shirt under a cozy sweatshirt. While I chose a solid, a sweatshirt with a graphic would be fun too! Pair this with your favorite sneakers like these Adidas sambas, and you’ve got a spring look that’s casual, comfortable, and cool.
- As a lightweight shacket. Throw it over a breezy dress like this linen one from J. Crew and step into some sandals for a spring vibe that’s effortless yet put-together.
- Layer under a blazer. For those days when the office calls, but you’re not willing to compromise on style or comfort, a chambray shirt under a blazer is your go-to. Because it’s thinner than a denim jacket, it allows you to layer effortlessly which I love. Pair it with some work-friendly casual pants and mules, and you’ve nailed the smart-casual look.
