Extra Denim (See Jane Wear)

Whenever I feel like my outfit needs a little more depth, I throw on my trusty denim vest (summer version here). It doesn’t as much warmth as I’d like but it does add a little something extra underneath; you learn to take anything interesting you can get when you experience such a long and drawn-out winter as we do here in this tundra we call Chicago.
i'm going to need to adopt this idea for our 9 months of winter…

After many days of cold weather I can see several bloggers trying new ways to layer and make an outfit interesting. I love how adding the denim makes the outfit different.

I am so bummed that J. Crew is sold out of that coat in my size! I get jealous all over again every time I see you wear it – you always wear it so well! Also, I might have to purchase those Rag & Bone cords for myself – love the color and love how deeply discounted they are right now! Great Monday look!

I love the way this jacket looks on you! I've been trying to decide if the Cocoon coat would be too frumpy/loose but it looks great, even with all the layers underneath! (Maybe I DO need to invest in it after all….)
