Back to School Shoe Shopping

Why does summer always fly by?  I can’t believe it’s almost time to go back to school (end of the month, but we’re still prepping.)  I was talking to my sister and she said her kids go back to school in two weeks (she lives in the south).  Growing up, we ALWAYS got new shoes before heading back to school and I have kept that tradition going for my kids.  You’ve got to check out Shoe Carnival®–they have all the best brands at even better prices; I have an issue with paying full price for kids shoes when they grow out of them in a few months!

Here are my back to school picks:

New Balance sneakers – Ok, fine, these are for me but brown sneakers are having a moment and the price is RIGHT.

Nike Legacy sneaker – Whenever people ask what type of sneakers are “in” I always say: look for a low profile white sneaker–Nike always does it right.

Nike Gamma Force sneakers – Now these are for the teens or the ladies who are a little more trendy–a thicker sole gives them a cool girl vibe.

Nike Court Sneaker – I am the mom of three boys and know how important sneakers are – these are either basketball or street shoes, but either way, the boys love them.

Nike Toddler sneakers – Nothing is cuter than a toddler sneaker – great for boys or girls and they can get their RUN on.

Reebok sneakers – I actually have these and deem them unisex–love a retro brand making a comeback! Remember, before Nike got big, Reebok was IT.

Crocs classics – My kids LOVE their crocs.  What’s not to love, they’re comfy and easy to wear.  My oldest wears them with socks, which is questionable, but all the kids are doing it.

Converse Chuck Taylors – Does it GET more classic than Chucks?!  I love that this kid version is slip on, too–no time for tying!

Birkenstock sandals – Oh shoot, another for me, sorry.  These could not be comfier and Birkenstocks last FOREVER.
