Sometimes I get in such ruts with pieces in my closet that I ignore the most obvious combinations. This outfit isn’t thrilling nor is it groundbreaking, but it works and I’m a little embarrassed that it took me accidentally pulling this skirt (I was reaching for shorts) to discover it. I’m not a big ‘thrifter’ (in fact, these may be the only two pieces I own) but I’ve had this midi-skirt and red, envelope clutch for a couple years now and they’ve become staples in my closet (and combined, cost less than dinner–I love that!).
