Spring Sézane Picks

When I was in NYC, I was able to pop into one of my favorite pied-à-terres in the city, L’Appartement Sézane.  Not only is the store perfectly styled, but the salespeople are kind and helpful.  All these Sézane picks were purchased except the denim and shoes (but the shoes are in my cart–they wouldn’t fit in my carry-on bag!). Sézane is one of those chic brands that has that certain je ne sais quois--literally their whole website makes me swoon.  And I don’t want to start rumors, but they’reee thinking about doing a pop-up in our fair city of Chicago…so stay tuned!

Spring was on my mind, for sure, but with good reason–it was 57 degrees on Sunday!

Spring Sézane Picks

Linen-blend blazer (wearing size 38)

The size 36 fit but I wanted it just a tad boxier.  The buttery color is what drew me to it and I can’t wait to wear it with both denim and white shorts this summer.

Pointelle cardigan

Sézane has the best knits so I had to snag this neutral for myself.  Perfect to wear now until June and I’ll bust it out again for fall.

Silk cami

You KNOW I love a basic silk cami, but the little eyelet details on top?  Had to add it to my collection.

Scalloped blouse

I also can’t resist a basic with a twist–enter the scalloped detail.  How amazing will this look with high-waisted, wide-leg pants this summer?

Eyelet dress

Lots of white in this round-up–I guess spring really WAS on my mind.  But we’re going on a spring break vacation in a couple weeks (that is, if travel restrictions don’t stop us due to coronavirus!) and I will definitely be taking this with me.

Maxi skirt

Speaking of items I’ll be taking to the Caribbean with me…

Sandals

I wanted these, trust me.  But my suitcase couldn’t handle another pair of shoes (I’m a carry-on gal).  Maybe for the summer!

Denim

Great fit, great price point.  I didn’t buy because, again, no room in suitcase and I have a LOT of jeans.  But I will definitely be testing these out in the future–and they’re $125! (they remind me of a cross between Everlane and AGOLDE)

  • So I have the Everlane high rise skinny jeans based on your suggestion which I love. But it’s my first foray into “designer”jeans. I truly can’t believe the difference. No saggy seat, tummy sucked in and oh so smooth. I can’t believe what I was missing out and I want more! So what do you mean that it’s like AGOLDE? Don’t all designer jeans have variations of the skinny jeans? Is it very different from Levi? Or Citizens of Humanity? Or Frame? Can you tell I’m stalking your favorite jeans post from 2018? Lol. Would you be making an updated list?

  • Great question! They remind me of AGOLDE because of the cut and fabric – a super high rise, minimal stretch….if you’re dipping your toe in deisgner denim and you like jean shorts, you MUST try the AGOLDE parker shorts. They’re perfect and everyone I know that has them, loves them!

I should make an updated list, but i still love my Everlane, AGOLDE, and Citizens–they’re heavy in my denim rotation!

  • Ohhhh…. thank you for taking the time in educating me And for reminding me of the AGOLDE shorts. Shopbop sale just started so this is great timing. Grinz.

  • Do you know how the sizing on the Sezane Isidore dress works? I’m within the US and when I go to the site it shows size options 6-18. There’s nothing that I can find that clearly translates the sizing. I know Im a 44 in Sezane and this is the first time I haven’t seen this sort of Euro sizing listed.

    • I’m normally a 2-4 and I got a US 4 in this dress–I’m a 36/4 pretty much across the board at Sezane! There should be a button that says “switch to FR sizing” or “switch to US sizing!” on the description page! Looks like a 44 is a US 12 – hope that helps!
