Fall Wardrobe Essentials (from the Saks Friends & Family Sale!)

Boots season is the best season.  Give a woman the right pair of boots and she can conquer the world–that’s the saying, right?  (I know it’s not, but it should be).  I’m partnering with Saks to bring you some fall essentials to help you start off the season right (and just in time for their Friends & Family sale!).  They include the following wardrobe essentials from Loeffler Randall, MOTHER, and Theory

The reason all these pieces are essentials to me is the fact that they work so well with the rest of my wardrobe.  I have no problem investing in pieces that can be worn with so many of my items and that are essentially timeless. Black skinnies are something I always need in my wardrobe for boots of any height and sweaters of any kind.  A new cashmere turtleneck is in rotation until I wear it to death (I have been a turtleneck fan since I was a little girl). I can’t resist a new coat–and I love the drape of this Theory piece (and let’s face it–we wear coats for 6 months out of the year in Chicago).  And these boots! Honestly, I’ve been eye-ing these boots for a few years.

The best part?  It’s currently Saks Friends & Family event and you can get 25% off select pieces and 20% off jewelry (like this whole outfit)–it’s such a great time to snag these pieces that you’ll wear over and over again this fall and winter.  Other items I’m eyeing for this sale: these rag & bone boots, this plaid Theory coat, and this boho Cinq a Sept dress.

  • Just wanted to say I’m still thinking of you. I see these posts and know they were probably scheduled awhile ago, but I know you’re behind there, suffering a terrible loss and coping with the inimaginable. So big hugs from me. I hope each day makes things a bit easier and you find small joys.

    • Thank you so much–it really means a lot. And yes, a bunch of stuff you’ll see over the coming weeks was scheduled (although I do many posts off the cuff still!). These were taken while I was still pregnant and there will be a couple more like that, too. It’s tough, to say the least, but I am finding that trying to get back into a routine is a good distraction for me. I’m letting myself grieve, too, though–just trying to figure it out as a I go. x

  • I’ve been eyeing those boots not for years like you but ever since your son wore them on Instagram stories… lol
