Is there a beauty product that you’ve never really been “sold” on? Maybe you question if it’s really necessary in your skin care regime? I’m constantly trying new products–it’s part of the gig, and I love sharing the results with you all! So, my beauty product that always left me feeling dissatisfied was eye cream. I don’t think I’ve ever re-bought one. I always felt like they were just more expensive versions and extensions of moisturizer. When Bloomingdales reached out to me to work together to promote the Lancôme Absolue Eye Cream, I thought, well, let’s see how this goes.
I’ve been using the Lancôme Absolue eye cream for little over a week now and may I just say, “WOW.” Ok, so this is what eye cream is supposed to do. You can tell that it’s ultra-rich, yet it feels light on the skin. A little goes a long way, too. I think eye cream is an investment, so when a smidge will do upon application, that resonates with me. It FEELS like it’s working–the sensation is refreshing and after application you notice that your under eyes are a bit brighter. Again, it’s been a week of straight usage, but I’m largely impressed that my under eye is hydrated and brighter–and that my concealer goes on more smoothly. I’m wearing it in these photos without concealer, so you be the judge on the glow factor. (Plus, Lancôme eye cream seems to be a cult favorite from all my Google research–so much love for it out there!)
Tips for applying under eye cream:
- Use your weakest finger as to be gentle to the delicate area (I use my ring finger)
- I’ve been applying morning and night (Normally I was only a nighttime eye cream gal, but I’ve also been applying in the morning as I like how it makes my concealer)
- I apply eye cream after I cleanse and tone; I like applying when my skin is a little damp.

Update: The eye cream is currently sold out (lots of believers out there–it’s pretty awesome) BUT I was told it is on backorder and will be back in stock soon!
