Three Ways to Style a Leopard Midi Dress

outfit 1: Rixo London dress (look for less here and here), Aquazzura heels (look for less), Chanel bag // outfit 2: Rixo London dress, Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific blazer, Sol Sana booties // outfit 3: Rixo London dress, Celine bag, H&M turtleneck, Madewell sunglasses, The Greats sneakers

A leopard midi dress can seem so specific at first.  You probably bought it to wear it as-is + shoes.  But don’t let a gorgeous dress like this be worn a single way; have fun with your closet and wear the clothes you love!  Winter is the perfect time to layer and experiment.  I was once told that layers are a way to show the world your style.  It takes practice and a little but of trial and error, but it helps you get more mileage out of your wardrobe.  I’ll show you how I styled it but I’ll be trying to style it a few more ways as well, in the future (how gorgeous will this dress be with simple black mules and a trench coat in the spring??).

Classic – Let the dress sing, but add some colorful shoes. Leopard is a neutral, after all.

Casual – You want to make something seem less serious?  Just add sneakers.  I also layered a chunky knit on top.  It’d also look great with yet another layer of a leather jacket–just saying.

Chic – Add black elements: a double-breasted blazer and sock booties and you have yourself an uptown look.
