Picture Day (See Jane Wear)
Urban Outfitters sweater, Gap skirt, Express tights, Enzo Angiolini boots, F21 necklace, Karen Walker sunglasses |
The only thing I can think of when I see this outfit is that I wore something similar for my 1st grade pictures. It was my favorite outfit that year: a thick, knit mustard cardigan with a black turtleneck underneath plus black culottes, tights and oxfords. It’s one of my favorite school pictures, probably because the next six years consisted of a bad haircut and huge glasses (sorry Mom, you know it’s true). Yes, first grade was a bittersweet year for me–I started out with my favorite outfit early and ended the year with glasses that overtook my face.
What was your favorite school year picture?
love this look!!!
This is such a great outfit! The mustard looks beautiful on you, and paired with that lipstick, this is a real hit :). You have a wonderful blog
Love the yellow sweater! (I'm in such a colour-mood this winter!)

The mustard hue of the knit is so pretty on you, and adore the incredible pattern on the skirt!

this is so gorgeous! remember those horrible picture backgrounds? only the cool kids got the awesome purple lightning bolt thing! haha!
Gorgeous outfit!
I hated picture day, mostly because I never look good in pictures and my hair was a frizzy mess all the time.
LOVE this outfit! You look so amazing!!
Hmmm…I can't remember what my favorite picture day was, I'll have to look at them ๐

Love this outfit. I like the pink lips with the yellow sweater. Nice!
I love the black paired with merigold! Such a lovely combo.
I love your skirt! I'm pretty sure my favourite school photo was grade one or two. I got very unfortunate looking after that due to my glasses.

Love the color mustard, this outfit looks great on you. My favorite year book picture? The one where I looked so bad that my guy friend had to hide it under his shirt as we ran down the hallway to lock it away in my locker… it was awesome.

LOL i seriously laughed out loud reading the commentary! you look lovely and this is a great look =)
Love the yellow top – and what a great necklace!
I think my favorite yearbook picture has to be from grade 11 when I went full out goth with black lipstick and a dog collar on my neck and the when the photographer told me to smile I arrogantly did a giant and ridiculously fake smile that caused a thousand and one weird bones on my neck to pop out and that's the photo. I look like a serial killer/evil witch/mental patient and I laugh out loud every time I see it.

Great work outfit & you look super warm.
I love this!!! Such a great work, look but perfect for elsewhere!!! I think my favorite was none – my mom dressed me in horrible Gap head-to toe….jean vests over peasant dresses with lace up boots (umm hello littel house on the prarie…)
super cute and comfy looking, love it!

I know the feeling, I already started first grade with glasses almost bigger than my face. Terrible years followed but thank god eventually we grow up! ๐
Really like the sweater by the way.

I love the pink lips and orange sweater pair. Great look to brighten up fall!
In fourth grade I wore an argyle sweater vest over a pink button down and knee highs. I was convinced I looked like Alicia Silverstone in Clueless but the pictures read otherwise.
I love your mustard sweater and skirt combo.
wauw, i love this outfit! that skirt is just amazing ๐ x
LOVE this look! that skirt paired with the bright top is perfect!

Love your sunglasses!
This skirt is so pretty! I love this whole outfit! And love your little first grade photo story! Too cute! If it makes you feel better, I had a mushroom cut that grew into a mullet. True story. Brutal.
I have the same story as you for those same grades – the huge glasses overtook my poor little face. I always wonder what I was thinking back then!
xo
the skirt looks very familiar. i was thinking of getting it, however it was a little too short for me. i did pick up a couple of great skirts at gap recently though. i love the mustard and black combo!
Love this yellow color on you!

I have to get a mustard piece of clothing this fall. It's such a great color. And I can't think of my favorite school picture.. I'd have to open the archives for a walk down memory lane & I so don't want to do that right now ha
I remember culottes! Damn, those were hot!
