Citrus + Peach (See Jane Wear)

Zara coat (similar, worn here and here), F21 citron sweater (the pictures wash it out, but it’s a yellow-citron...similar), James Jeans maternity (c/o), Madewell leopard loafers, RayBan mirrored sunglasses, Chanel bag

Wow, we are in the home stretch of this pregnancy.  I’m going to be honest: I cannot wait to wear my normal clothes again.  I’m at the point where I’m swollen and retaining water like crazy (such a nice visual for you all to start your Monday morning).  Of course, I’m excited for the end result–finally meeting this baby!  But, in the meantime, I’m getting pretty uncomfortable and having a hard time dressing myself (e.g. things aren’t really fitting, total lack of inspiration, etc).  Any tips for these final days/weeks?

  1. Unfortunately, no great outfit advice for the final days (some of my favorite maternity shirts were practically crop tops by the end and Coachella-ready style doesn't look so hot on a 9-month pregnant version of me). However, I CAN help if you get sick of people asking when you're due – send them to HaveYouHadThatBabyYet.com.

  2. No great ideas on dressing toward the end, it's rough…. but go out to dinner and to the movies as much as you can. It may be a while until you get the chance again!!

  3. sadly no advice for getting dressed…and sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but maternity clothes will still be necessary for a bit (hopefully not too long) after the baby comes. at least summer is around the corner and you can wear dresses soon.

other advice: take advantage of doing whatever YOU want for these next few weeks – whether it's going out to dinner, laying in bed and watching tv for hours, getting mani/pedis, going to the movies, sleeping in, cooking elaborate meals, etc.

  4. You definitely get to a point where you want to burn all your clothes. So get yourself to Nordstrom and buy those thin strapped camis in Brass Plum. Get an XL in every color. They are surprisingly long and stretchy and work great under ALL your Ts and tops that are getting shorter and shorter. Post baby, those camis are great jammies 🙂

  5. You seriously look great! I know you are feeling icky but it doesn't show, at. all. Love the pop of color! Maybe get yourself some new fun/big/colorful jewelry to get you through 🙂

  6. Get a pedicure (even if it's still too cold to see it!) I can't believe you are still wearing jeans! I was in either a maxi dress or yoga pants the last few weeks. Regarding the water retention, that will go away so quickly after you have the baby. I was able to be back in regular clothes within a week or two but didn't really want to be. Comfort will be key. Good luck!

  7. It's hard to believe you have a lack of inspiration! You look gorgeous, this color palette is so perfect and springy! Dresses are always easy and perfect for spring if you feel up to them. Just accessorize to make them stand out!

  9. You look so amazing! I am only 27 weeks along in my pregnancy and pretty much exclusively living in leggings and flowy tops. Those jeans look so great though that I may just have to bust out some jeggings and see if they still fit.
