Blackbird (See Jane Wear)

Zara top, J Brand jeans, Topshop necklace + shoes, Marc Jacobs bag, Maya Brenner initial necklace (c/o), Karen Walker sunglasses, Maybelline ‘Coral Crush” lipstick, ButterLondon “Teddy Girl” nail polish

On Friday, Eric and I went to Blackbird, a restaurant here in Chicago known for its innovative food and sleek interiors.  I’m all about dressing for the occasion so I paired a no-fuss, peplum top with simple, ultra-dark denim.  Blackbird showcases a very modern and mostly white interior with dark accents; I felt as if I had been plucked straight from the interior!  Now, speaking of coordinated dressing, what should I wear to the aquarium with my nephews next weekend?  Probably aqua socks.

  1. Gorgeous! I love how classic and elegant you look. In a trend-saturated blogosphere, an ensemble like this is very refreshing and understatedly stylish!

  2. The speaking advertisement you have put on your blog is beyond annoying. I have NEVER seen any other blog that does this. Sadly, I won't visit again because of this need for $$.

  3. hi @Caitlin – the TopShop shoes are a bit uncomfortable. They're definitely not dancing shoes but I can handle going out for a bit in them!
hi @erika – the top is recent! Just bought it last week.
hi @anon – care to tell me what advertisement you speak of? I only have two and am not aware of any that use sound. thanks.
