Violet Hour (See Jane Wear)

Zara coat + sweater, F21 shorts, Express tights + wedges, J Crew belt + scarf

Let’s just address the fact that it’s mid-February and I can wear this outfit without freezing my tail off.  I’ll also touch on the fact the two main components of this outfit is from older items that I semi-forgot I owned (exhibits A and B).  I’m guilty of getting caught up in the new things I buy and totally neglecting old pieces; I need to regularly go through my closet to ensure I’m not buying multiples (i.e. wasting money) and that I’m actually wearing what I already own.  It can be hard–especially when spring collections are emerging and tempting me.  Do you make yourself wait to buy spring items until it’s, you know, actually spring?

  2. Love that color! It's crazy that shorts in February is actually doable this year. I definitely forget about items I own, too. But it's such a nice surprise when I find them again!

  3. Nope, I don't wait. I bought my first spring dress two days ago and a lovely pair of exotic XL earrings to match it and then some more cute pastel accessoiries today. I'm so not good at waiting, haha. I love this outfit by the way ๐Ÿ™‚ those purple tights are amazing! xo Nikki

  4. Love the pretty colour of your scarf and those fun tights! This outfit couldn't be more perfect and I feel the same about wearing my new clothes more often,

  5. Love your Violet Hour look and that bar! ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm totally getting tempted by spring pieces, but find myself holding off until I can actually wear them. You just never know what else will appear in stores as we get closer and closer to the season!

  6. This is my first visit to your blog – it's lovely! As are you!

  7. You look so pretty Anna, I love this outfit!! I own so many colored tights but never seem to wear them but you've style them perfectly here! And I always struggle whether to wait until spring to buy spring things or buy them when I see them… It's just always the worry that the things I love will be gone by the time spring actually arrives! Like trying to buy gloves in January… it's when you need them, but they are nowhere to be found!

  8. I love this look Anna. It's classy with just the right amount of quirk thrown in. I love that you courageously mixed two purples together… so often people are afraid to mix two shade together. If they're far enough apart (like here, with lilac and plum) the look becomes a home run.
