Party Pleats (See Jane Wear)

Robert Rodriguez dress (super old), H&M belt, vintage clutch (via eBay), Express tights, UO shoes, Spike the Punch necklace (c/o), Elizabeth and James sunglasses

I had a holiday cocktail party to attend and I was in the mood for a dress (I wore this last year).  I found this pleated, shift dress while looking for another dress in the depths of my closet (don’t you love finding things you forgot you had?).  I definitely don’t belt a lot of things, but felt like it was the right thing to do in this case.  I added this necklacethat I can’t stop wearing (seriously, I wear it at least once a week), and a red clutch.  I also wore dark plum tights to break up the black; they’re dark enough that it’s subtle but a nice change from my basic black tights.

On another note, can you believe Christmas is less than a week away?!

  1. You look great, and glad you got to resuscitate something from the back of the closet. I know the rule is that you should throw out stuff you haven't worn in a year, but that just doesn't work for me 🙂

  2. Christmas has a way of sneaking up on me every single year. My presents have yet to be wrapped. I have a ton of baking to do and all while working for the week! Send me some energy! 😉

    Loving the holiday look!

    xx Lynzy

  3. I love your dress – I am such a LBD addict. Also, I cannot WAIT for Christmas! This week can't go by fast enough!

  4. I love this look. I also "compared" it with your link to last year's and you're definitely blonder! (it looks good!)
Also, love the idea of plum tights to break up the monochromatic vibe 🙂

I can't believe it's almost Christmas, and I dunno about Chicago but in the Twin Cities the weather is just crazy warm (I mean, you know, for the area) so I might not have a white Christmas this year! eek!
