Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus (See Jane Make)

It seems that in my kitchen, as of late, I’m addicted to my new food processor and all things green.  In turn, my body and wallet are thanking me for these healthy foods that I’m making at home.  Unfortunately, this hummus didn’t last as long as I thought it would; I ate half of it in one sitting and then my sister ate the other half when she came over the other day (in one sitting–obviously, we’re related).  Fear not, this may be the easiest thing that I’ve ever made and I plan on trying many more variations (I enjoy spicy foods and happened to have a jalapeno and cilantro on hand).  This may sound like a bold statement, but I may never buy hummus from the store again.

 I realize that hummus may not be one of the most attractive of foods, but it sure it delicious.

  1. what an amazing take on simple hummus! i too am a food processor addict and i always make my own hummus. i will totally try this as i have only done lemony hummus. 🙂 i'm salivating just thinking about it!

  2. This looks so good. I just got a food processor for my wedding and I've been having so much fun making things with it. I'll definitely try this one out.

  3. I'm Israeli and find American hummus to be the anemic little cousin of the Middle Eastern powerhouse.

    I avoid making it myself (disastrous in the kitchen, yes I am) so I buy the grocery store variety. Not quite the same but still better than nothing.

  4. oh. my. yum!! my husband and i are hosting a couples shower and i am going to break in our food processor by making hummus. i think we're going to have to make 2 varieties now!
