Just Married (See Jane Wear)

J Crew dress, unknown/friend’s necklace (yours, Maggie?), RayBan sunglasses, Dolce Vita sandals, c/o Foley + Corinna bag

Although our wedding was in Mexico last Friday, Eric and I headed to the Chicago courthouse to legally wed yesterday once and for all.  Post-ceremony (which lasted about 3 minutes), we had a nice little day together eating burgers and finally seeing Bridesmaids.  I’m definitely not ready to go back to work, but having a couple days to recoup after getting back into town on Sunday somewhat quelled the pain.  (I now see why people go on the honeymoon right after the wedding rather than three months later).

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind words and well wishes!  It was a great time and I can’t wait to share some more pictures once I get them.

  1. Congrats again girl! Husband and I had an excellent day after our legal ceremony at the court house. We ate and spent time with the dog, the best day ever.
BTW, that JCrew is amazing on you!

  2. Congrats on the wedding Anna! I have such a random question for you. I adore the jcrew dress your sporting and was wondering how tall you are? I'm trying to decide if the hem would fall higher on lower on my legs (I'm about 5'11").

  3. Hi @thewatsonway – I'm 5'9" and feel like it's a pretty good length, although it looks super long on the j crew model/website (she may be slouching). i bought an x-small so perhaps a small would be a tad longer. i thought it looked good on my sister too, who is a hair over 5'10. hope this helps! 🙂

  4. Thanks Anna, that sounds fantastic. I was looking at the model as well and wondering why it seemed so long. It does seem like a perfect length on you. I'll definitely give it a whirl 🙂

  5. Congrats on getting married! I love this dress – I just can't decide on black or navy. I know they are both dark colors, but I thought the navy would be a bit cooler wearing it in the summer and all. Now I know I def need to get it. What made you decide on black?
Can't wait to see picts of your wedding! Love your blog! Thanks!
