Sailor Take Warning (See Jane Wear)

Anthropologie shirt, H&M striped tank, J Crew (thrifted) shorts, Dolce Vita sandals, Ray Ban retro cat sunglasses

As promised on Friday, I didn’t do much this weekend.  I actually ended up feeling a little under the weather which was ironic (or cruel, I can’t decide) as it was the most beautiful weekend we’ve had in months.  I had grand plans of working on some wedding crafts, but ended up laying around most of the time (although, I did force myself to lay around outside when it was 80 yesterday).

Eric and I went to meet with our wedding officiant on Sunday for brunch and this is what I threw on.  You have no idea how nice (and unfamiliar) it felt to grab a pair of shorts and a tank top.  Don’t worry, though, the cold weather is already making its way back in to the windy city.

How was your weekend?

  1. Love your shorts! My weekend was very uneventful, but I like it that way because it was relaxing. It's finally getting warm in NYC so I'm sure Chicago will warm up soon!

I'm having a $100 dollar Shopbop giftcard GIVEAWAY on my blog! Come check it out 🙂 It's open to international bloggers as well.

  2. This is adorable! I love the sheer top with the stripes and vibrant color! I cannot wait to break out my massive sandal collection as soon as it warms up.

  3. 80 in Chicago?!! Shorts? Wow lucky lady! 🙂 I had a very lazy weekend as well…it was so nice and much needed after my bachelorette party the weekend before. I'm sure you needed the rest too!

  4. I love this outfit, Anna! I have a really similar pair of J Crew shorts that I bought a few months ago and I haven't had a chance to wear them yet because it's been so cold. I hear we're supposed to have a warm weekend coming up though, so I'm excited to break them out.

  5. Love the outfit- stripes are my thing all year long, but there's something very satisfying about breaking out a sailor stripe in the spring!

It was super warm in Kansas City this weekend, so my fiance and I spent much of it outside- we've undertaken a huge landscaping project, and the weather allowed us to make a pretty good dent in the manual labor. 🙂

  6. Such a bummer that you felt ill…but you look great in your pictures! Completely agree on the feeling-strange-in-summer-clothes bit! All of Sunday it felt as if I needed to wear a jacket; not because of the weather, just out of habbit!

  7. loving the bright shorts!! and the nude sandals are so adorable too!! hope you're feeling better soon!

ps: there's a giveaway goin' on over at my blog, hope you'll join in! 🙂

  8. Terribly jealous, it did NOT get that warm here! This is such a cute outfit, I'm sure you're not surprised to hear me say that as my opinions on nautical themed clothing…I hope the meeting with your officiant went well!! Are you and Eric writing any of your own vows or anything?? You're getting so close!!

    xo, Ashley
