Go Long + Vote (See Jane Wear)

H&M top + belt, Zara skirt, Joes Jeans bag, Dolce Vita sandal
Maybe it was Mexico.  Or perhaps it was the warm, tropical breeze.  Either way, I did it:  I wore a maxi skirt against all my inhibitions.  Turns out, it wasn’t so bad.  In fact, it felt sort of natural and I think I may get a few more.  On the note of Mexico, it was just fantastic.  I feel so much more at ease about the wedding and my planner was a total gem.  It’s getting so close, but for some reason it hasn’t quite hit me yet.  I’m sure that will change in the upcoming weeks when things start to really hit home.
Also, I need a favor from everyone.  A friend of mine is entering to win her dream internship with STA Travel and my friends and I would love for her to win.  Simply go to this page and click on “Become a Fan.”  (Don’t worry, it’s not associated with facebook or anything and you don’t have to provide an email or allow access to applications).  Thanks for your help!

  3. Aw, you look so pretty! And you got to wear your sandals!! Woohoo! I'm with you, I haven't tried a maxi skirt yet, I have no idea how it will look on me, but this def makes me want to give it a try! Maybe this spring, once all the snow is gone and I don't have to worry about dragging it through slushy puddles! πŸ˜‰ Glad you had a nice trip, lovely!

  4. Well despite your reservations, the maxi skirt looks great! I've been looking for one recently, but haven't found the right one yet. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed mexico – I know via twitter you were a little sick in the lead up to the trip. I hope you didn't let that get in the way!

  5. I've never been much of a maxi girl either, but recently have been lusting after them ~ especially as the weather turns toward Spring temps! Love the maxi look you pulled together! Looks fab on you!

  6. Are you at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita? I was there last spring and it was amazing! Gorgeous place to have a wedding! Congrats

  7. Hi @anon – close…St Regis Punta Mita! Good eye! Yes, it was my second time there and it's possibly the best place on earth. My wedding won't be there, but in a nearby town of Sayulita. I love the whole Riveria Nayarit area!

  8. Hey, I know that street! Happy Sayulita treated you well. I have to admit that maxi skirts scare me, too, but you look great!

Ummm, basil mojitos are delicious. I think they pretty much guarantee a fabulous wedding!
